What Is An EASE Drawing and Why Does It Matter?

So What is An Ease Drawing?

EASE Drawings are something magical. We use the blueprint of your churches auditorium to spec out the locations that your speakers should go, to the inch.

Why Are Ease Drawings Important?

Have you ever walked around a churches auditorium and found spots that sound louder than others? Maybe they’re more bass heavy even. Having a quality EASE drawing assures you that your hot-spots are kept to a minimum, dare I say completely eliminated.

Get The Speaker Count Right

Another massive benefit to having a quality EASE drawing from your install company is that you can rest assured that you purchased the correct amount of speakers. I’ve seen so many churches get taken advantage of by other companies that either choose to not do an EASE Drawing or simply don’t use it. These churches typically end up way far more speakers and subs that they actually need. Making the line-array system counter-productive.

Equal Responsibilities

Here’s the thing. We’re in this together. It’s our responsibility to make sure that your install goes as professionally and as smooth as possible. With that being said, we go above and beyond to ensure that we provide you with the information, but ultimately the church is responsible for trusting us on that and not cutting back on much needed speakers that could completely change the feel and experience of the room. If budget is an issue, we work with you to find a brand that fits the budget as opposed to cutting back on coverage. It’s give and take. We work with you to ensure everybody gets the same experience. We never put profit over people.

The It’s Too Loud Argument

My sound engineers that serve with me at a church in central Louisiana previously had the honor of dealing with a ever so difficult congregant that would always sit in the loudest part of the back of the building but complain about the volume and refused to change locations that she sat. After an EASE Drawing we realized that skimping on our speakers hurt us in that aspect. The previous leadership cut back on an entire cluster of speakers, and so even with treatment, the room sounded spotty at best. Middle cluster gets installed, problem fixed. SHAZAM.

It’s really that EASE-y

Yeah, it’s a pun. However, the difference that this makes is no joking matter and a requirement on any sound install that HoneySonic is a part of.
